Using TeliSwitch's three attribute switching architecture technology, the company tailors optical switching solutions to any system configuration requirements.
For example, in the case of a multi-operator FTTH concentration point, regulations and standards for the number of operators that may be connected to a multi-operator distribution unit vary. TeliSwitch's AODFs are designed to support any number of operators without affecting either fiber switching volume or the AODF unit's footprint.
Scalable Growth – Deploy as Many Fibers as You Actually Use
TeliSwitch unique AODF switching architecture supports high capacity, non-blocking optical switching for plants with 19" rack mount indoor applications and multi-operator outside applications. The indoor model meets the requirements of carrier central offices and of IT administrator data-centers. The AODF's modular design enables scalable growth where only the unit's height is affected by a switching volume change while the width and depth of the AODF cage fit standard 19" rack dimensions. Due to the flexible architecture design of the outside plant installation, AODF operators can gradually connect their subscribers while supporting highly dense home passed areas. Using our outside plant AODF models allows operators to deploy as many fibers as they actually use and to connect/disconnect subscribers while enjoying full AODF switching capacity.

Real-Time Service Monitoring & Network Management
TeliSwitch's AODF solution includes an SW-based element manager system (EMS) for a real-time, holistic view of the fiber optic networks' physical layer. This design enables fast mean-time-to-repair (MTTR) in case of network failure, and reduces the time needed to roll-out alternative or new links. In both cases, operators are allowed to reduce technicians' hours and avoid the interconnects and network re-configuration mistakes that can occur when using manual ODFs. In addition, operators maintain accurate fiber monitoring and improved inventory control while limiting human entries to their property.
